Tehran will resume communication with Washington after the lifting of US sanctions against the Iranian oil sector. This was stated by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani following a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

The head of the Islamic Republic called on Americans to end trade terror against his country. According to Kyodo, Rouhani welcomed the arrival of the Japanese prime minister to Iran and expressed hope for a new stage in relations between Tokyo and Tehran, primarily in the economic sphere.
Abe has been visiting Iran since June 12. The Japanese Premier’s trip is aimed at mitigating the situation in the Middle East. According to some reports, he is trying to mediate between Iran and the United States.
